Get Rid Of The Advertisements

From Strangers To Friends

Just down the road is a little country home where this sweet older couple resides.
On the outside it's rugged, not appealing to the eye, but much different when you walk inside

The warmth fills the room as the fireplace crackles, the logs give a welcoming glow
The water pot is resting just over the fire, steam rising from the heat below

On the walls hang the pictures of family and friends, with memories of years gone by
The smell of baked bread fills the air, she gives you a piece you can try

A warm cup of tea to accompany the bread, by the fire you sit in a chair
As day drifts into evening, darkness falls, but you are unaware

To be in a place so inviting and warm, you don't want this time to end
These strangers welcomed you in from winter's cold, but you're leaving with new good friends.
