Rainy Day Hours

**~~**~~
Words cannot do justice.
They, alone, cannot convey,
Birdsong from the woodlands
When Spring is on it's way.

The pitter-patter of the raindrops
Sing lullabies to sleeping flowers.
In anticipation of painted rainbows,
I spend those rainy day hours.

Send old man winter packing.
Here in my world it's tulip time.
Those soft sweet rainy days,
I gladly claim as mine...

Looking for a Spring rain.
Wishing on stars above.
Lady Springtime wears a new bonnet
All fancied up with love.

Looking for a spring rain
