Get Rid Of The Advertisements

SHE IS MISSING

The words come out.
The face still smiles
Like days of yesteryear.
People think Iím still the same.
But, something is missing here.

I say what is expected
In meetings with friends.
Most would have no hint
How I feel when meetings end.

Here, yet lost to me
Is my true and forever love.
Inside, I feel the cruelest loss
So, that is all I can think of.

Iíll keep right on responding
In words that I should say.
Iíll smile when itís expected
Because that is my way.

But, the true love I have lost
I know never will return.
Outside, Iíll still smile on que.
Inside, I can only yearn.

Have others known this feeling?
Many must know the loss I feel.
But, for me, this inner wound
Is one I fear will never heal.
