His Journey Home
As You take his hand and lead him home
Over the bridge between here and heaven
His healing will come, his body will be whole
He will be better than he ever has been
With tears in her eyes and an ache in her heart
She gently kisses his lips in goodbye
Wanting to hold him and not let him go
With his last breath she lets out a cry
One life is set free from the cares of this world
But for the other, there's a long road ahead
He is home walking and talking with the Lord
She is kneeling and praying by their bed
Who will bring comfort in the long lonely hours
When her tears like a rushing river flow
She will cling to the Lord, He will see her thru
Until it's her turn to rise from here below
