Get Rid Of The Advertisements

In The Trees And On The Ground

Happening ''1996''
From our four season room, at dawn we can enjoy the
Warmth of the sun, till it goes down and then at sunset,
through the skylight windows, we can watch the
Moon all night long.

With seventy-five percent windows, we don't
Miss a thing that's going on, including God's little
Creatures in the trees and on the ground.

The birds are making music and the squirrels are
Gathering acorns. Little do they know, every morn
they're playing a part in a special bonding
That's going on.

Early one morn, enjoying the warmth from the sun
And holding our little Grand-baby, at the time almost
Four months, Grandpa says, ''come here, you just
Have to see smart little Mercedes.''

''Mercedes, let's see if we can find a bird''... Up goes her little
Head, looking in the trees. ''Now, lets find the squirrels''...
Down goes her head looking all around on the
Ground.

I was in awe. Could not believe what I just saw.
Grandpa says ''Wait, there's more.''

''How about a high five!''... Up comes her little hand
To slap Grandpa's big hand.

With the touching of hands and the usual Teddy
Bear hugs and butterfly kisses, Grandpa says,
''I love you, my little Mercedes.''

The birds are still making music in the trees and
The squirrels are gathering acorns on the ground. Little
Do they know they're part of a special bonding
That's going on.
