Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A Rose For All Time

You blessed us with your smile Rose
And with your wry sense of humor too,
There was no stopping you from giving of yourself
When that’s what you wanted to do.

You said you were no longer Rosie
The name we called you as a child,
Your name was now Rose…a resilient woman
Who never let her dreams run wild.

You celebrated life with your family and friends often
And shared your artistic gift for making flowers,
It didn’t matter how long it took to make them
You didn’t count the hours.

You and your daughter became more like friends
As you helped raise her three young boys,
And you did your best to make them happy
For they were your pride and joy.

As luck would have it, the Cancer came along
And took you for quite a ride,
But you said you were ready to meet your maker
As well as our family on the other side.

As the moon rose high in the sky one day
And the nightfall it did come,
You took your leave from those you loved
For the good Lord had called you home.

We are better people for having had a chance
To walk life’s path with you Rose,
And you must have felt how much we loved you
For even now, in our hearts, we can tell that your spirit knows.

You will always be a ‘Rose for all time’ to us
Who had no thorns to cause anyone pain,
But rather a person of caring and love
Unique as the flower that bore your beautiful name.
