Field of dreams revisited trilogy(2)
I walked back through the woods again
Through sprinkling gold Spring promised rain,
And as I walked I heard behind
A promise of a different kind,
A nearly silent whispered vow
So gracious, like a Courtier’s bow
Before a Lady of high state,
Just as I reached the padlocked gate.

I stood before the field of dreams
And sipped the Sun’s first rising gleams,
As shrinking shadows touched the rain
Like faces meeting once again,
A pastiche of the morning’s grace
Where trees were draped in rainbow lace,
And dreams came drifting through the glade
Like wishing wells that never fade.

I looked back as I wandered on
Until the tide of life was gone,
I saw the lace sun through the trees
Like silver ripples on the seas,
That spoke to me of love’s sweet song
And also how we all belong,
To life and love and shining bliss
From joy as sweet as love’s first Kiss…
