Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Wishful Thinking

I roam the peaks and valleys of each day,
Searching for signs that spring is on the way,
May it it begin with melting graying snow,
Sunshine, warmer days; a robin and her beau,
As snowmen shrink, buttons pop, noses drop,
A few snowflakes drift by: one a final stop,
Songbirds, their pleasing sound, twittering chirrs,
Beneath the soil, a purple crocus stirs,
Tulips, daffodils, spring’s gift, the flower,
These sweet reminders in the here and now,
There’s a world of colour waiting to bloom,
A charm so welcome, after winter’s gloom.
Awash with hope and and renewal this time,
of year inspires the world to sing in rhyme.
