Walking the Meadow Hand in Hand

Pammy's
Potpourri Of Poetry
Meadow- Two
Debera

There were loving eyes between the two of us As we went walking
On the grassy wet meadows hand in hand talking
By the time we got back to Cincinnati
Her folks were waiting there on the porch

Worried about us leaving and doing something we would regret
Our whole life through but I expressed my feeling for my little Miss Target
and her parents took a listen to my little speech A smile came to their faces
Knowing all along that they were not losing a daughter but gaining a Son in Law

They turned around and said to the happy couple we understand you want to share
A happy home well we won't stand in your way now that we know your both in love
And a heart shall never be broken for it can be mended many times over
And blessed your spirits shall be as you move forward through life

With understand and God's blessings with help from love and laughter
Many times over you will find yourselves walking in the meadows of green grass
Where every thing flows and God's Love will grow and grow upon us all
Give thanks to our Lord for showing Love and Laughter to the ends of the world.
