They Need

It started when you said hello handing me the morning paper.
It was clear, was concise, as if it were written by his rapier.
In each word, woven the very essence of his being.
Little wonder this read, the totality of his life I'm seeing.

You may think the outlook you're seeing encompasses what we know.
Everything else is superfluous, we can assimilate it ever so slow.
Digest what you have read, understand it well, savor the feeling.
Let your mind float freely, let your heart and soul fly to the ceiling.

Reading in the paper, what those who did not know him will read.
Hopefully they'll find the truth, peace, they'll find what they need.
