Australia... Home To Me.

I love to camp by mountain streams

and to tread the dusty track.

To walk among the Red Gum trees,

with my back pack on my back.

I love to hear the crested cockatoo

screech out when day is done,

and share the kookaburra's laugh,

greeting the morning sun.

I love the snow peaked mountains,

and the shores of` endless sands,

I love the winding rivers,

and the Golden Wattle stands.

There's many ancient Gold Fields

such fortunes made and lost.

There is golden seas of waving grain,

in the air the smell of fresh hay tossed.

I love all the open spaces, so beautiful.

The deserts and the mountains tall.

I love to roam our precious forests;

and to hear the bushmen`s ringing call.

I love our busy bustling cities,

and our country, wide and free.

I love returning to Australia,

this special land is home to me.
