Bring Your Love Back

It’s been three days
Since I walked out that door,
After I asked you if you loved me
You hesitated, then said, “Oh, baby, I’m not sure.”

You’d think this pain inside me now
Would make me face the truth and let you go,
But I’m loving you, yes, I’m still loving you
More than you will ever know.

So many tears have run down my cheeks
Because of all this deep love stuff,
Yet, I’m still sitting here by this phone…alone
Listening to your messages…that certainly aren’t enough.

You keep saying what a fool you are
For letting my love go,
And how, “I miss your loving, baby”
“More than you’ll ever, ever know.”

You can say it now, “I love you, darling”
And you can say it with such ease,
“I miss your love, so bring it back”
“Bring it back, my darling, please?”

With a heavy heart I pick up this phone
To tell you to please stop calling me,
But those words, they will never come
So, I find myself outside your door
In a place I should never be.

I hesitate before I knock
When you fling open this forbidden door,
You grab me up and kiss my mouth saying,
“Sweetheart, you are the one that I adore.”

“Please forgive me, I am such a fool
For letting you walk out that door,
Because I know I really hurt you
But darling, I truly love you…of this, I am very sure.”

The tears come streaming down my face
As you hold me tenderly in your arms,
And my heart is bursting with great love and joy
For it is back home where it belongs.
