God Bless

My eyes slowly open, observe what's on my chest.
A soft, warm, four pound cloud with deep green piercing eyes.
Seeing I've awoke she nestles up, gives her best.
Purr low, quick licks on my nose, loving things she plies.

My Misty morning playmate, has slept with me this night.
At dawn my comfort creature, becomes director of my day.
Tender strokes, a plate of milk, will make all things right.
Nibble at a plant, scratch my chair, jump on me, let's play.

I guess there's a stronger love, a more fulfilling love, I guess.
As for this love, this feline mine, I can only say God bless.
