Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Just a Walk in the Rain

They walk arm in arm in the park every morning
Each bending over a cane...
They stop sometimes and sit on a bench to feed the pigeons
While conversing idly about the weather and if it will rain.

Soon they hear thunder and the rain does come down...
Pounding on their frail bodies as they walk quickly again,
They've been laughing when the man turns to his wife saying,
I would warm you up dear, if I only had sunshine in the rain.

No matter my husband, Im enjoying the change
And with you beside me as we walk down this lane,
It will make this day a wonderful memory for me
Instead of 'just a walk in the rain'.
