Get Rid Of The Advertisements

In The Cool Of The Evening
The cool evening air is generously spiced with intoxicating aromas of blossoming trees. The lilac, a virtual sea of lavender. And the delicate scent of pink and snowy-white apple blossoms. I look forward to these delicious spring evenings filled with songs of the night, the chirping crickets and the soothing sound of the river splashing the rocky ledge, I love spending this time with you.
There's a sweet solitude that envelopes us as we sit here together in the porch swing and reminisce about the past. So many enjoyable years knowing that the lilacs and the apple and plum blossoms will be there to greet us each spring. It's always a special time to recall the past events in our lives. How wonderful that you have always been beside me sharing the happiness and the sadness, too. Kindred spirits, yes, soul mates, yes. We have been blessed.
Our children have married and moved on raising families of their own. They've given us grandchildren, now great-grandchildren. More love to fill our hearts and enrich our memories. Now that we are empty-nesters, we have time, time for togetherness.
The stars have come alive now in the black-velvet draped sky. A hoot owl makes his nightly debut, Somewhere a train whistle interrupts the silence, bringing back memories of our travels.
A soft rain is beginning to fall. It's time to call it a night. I can't wait for the sunrise. The rain will surely coax more sleepy flowers from their beds. Spring is a lovely time of year...
