Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A Haven

A simple thatched-roof cottage
Hidden in the wildwood there,
Where wild fern and red-bud thrive
Seemingly without care.

The freedom they're accustomed to
Always astounds me.
They grow without restraint,
Without rivalry.

I've seen mountains in the winter,
When they're capped with snow
Picked daisies in the summertime
From a favorite spot I know.

Springtime brings the daffodils
To brighten hills with gold sunshine.
I search for violets, always hiding
Lavender shoots, so divine.

But hiking down that winding path
Now when Autumn comes to call,
When all the leaves are newly painted,
In that haven ... I have it all.
