Get Rid Of The Advertisements

AtThe River's Edge

Wild fern and trillium thrive
Here at the river's edge.
Violets and anemone
Fancy up a rocky ledge.

A fallen log becomes a bench,
Where I can dream all day
As I watch the lofty branches
Of the Aspen dip and sway.

The day is rich with sunshine
And the sky is azure-blue.
And in the ripples of the water
A treasure chest of diamonds too.

What more could I wish for
In this lovely place I've found.
Where Nature offers solitude
And great beauty does abound.

A lovely doe comes out to drink
Crystal waters cool and clear,
Followed closely by several more.
Not bothered that I am near.

I shall return like a moth to a flame
Where my heart is more at ease.
To sit among Natures abundant gifts,
The violets and the anemones.
