Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Can I Paint You A Picture?

When you walk out across the dewy meadow
Where the pretty wild flowers grow
Go out farther beyond the babbling brook
Where the clearest of waters flow
You will come across a pasture fence
Painted white-wash against grass so green
Follow the fence for half a mile
You will be amazed at the site you'll see
Yonder there is a cute little pond
Reflecting the few clouds in the sky
Cattails encircle it all around
In them the baby ducks like to hide
Out on a dock there stands a man
admiring the water so blue
In his hand he holds a fishing pole
For he is hoping to catch one or two
Across the pond there's a majestic mountain
Towering up to the sky so high
Snow kissed peaks glistening in the sun
The beauty truly makes me sigh
I grab my pen and try to verse
This scene that has grabbed my heart
But all too soon the night creeps in
Guess it's time for me to part
As I'm walking home I'm thanking God
For all the beauty He gives to see
So thankful for every blessing
So thankful for His love for me
