MY SIMPLE LITTLE GARDEN

When it comes to gardens
Some are big and some are small
Some just fill a windowsill
Not very big at all

Some are spread across vast acres
With a beauty so sublime
But none give me more pleasure
Than that small plot of mine

It shares with me great memories
Of joyful days gone by
As we planted special flowers
My one true love and I

When at dawn I hear the birdsong
And wake up on my own
I look out to the garden
Getting joy from how it's grown

I miss those days now just a memory
When we shared our special place
But just A SIMPLE LITTLE GARDEN
Helps put a smile upon my face

For Mary T. Live’s challenge
