Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Day With My Granddaughter

With my pen I love to write about nature
There's so very much here for us to enjoy
From the birds who come to my feeders each morning
To the bunnies that bring my granddaughter pure joy

Big fluffy clouds go floating on by
As we sit in the shade of the big misquite tree
Our imaginations go running wild
As we think about what the shapes might be

Here comes a butterfly just out of her reach
Floating effortlessly thru the air
As much as she wants to hold it tight
Her fingers did not quite get there

As the sun is setting and drenching the sky
My granddaughter drifts off to sleep
What a wonderful day for the young and the old
Treasured memories I know we'll both keep
