The Quirk of Nature

What unspeakable secrets
she conceal in her mind,
What spiteful thoughts
she sweep under the rug
of her conscience,
What diabolical desires
she breed in her heart?

No heavens compare
them in their complexity,
No oceans fathom their depth,
No erupting volcanoes
match their fury
No vicious hurricanes
grasp their destructive force;

Woman, thou art the quirk of nature!
