Barley Bread, In The Farmer's Shed

********

Barley bread, whey, hay bed in the farmer's shed

Stretch your feet, take a comfy seat, lay your head

No other place as warm and cosy as the countryside

It is what the poet said, in the open, your thoughts ride

And sheep browse, horses, jog, in the meadows wide

Befriend the frogs, dip in the bogs, and rest on wood logs

Fresh life and air, natural health, away from lethal smog

Opt for another home, choose to roam, on Nature's blog

Free verse from heaven made, and true pastoral eclogues

So let me skip there, in the open air, i am so agog...... !!!

In the farmer's shed, cattles so bright and healthy, are fed

Glossy skin, of ewe, goat and sheep; feel smooth and clean

The rooster, before morning breaks, with primal breeze, awakes

Roses, rub their sleepy eyes, showered with magic morning dew

The warm sun kisses your face and sends all your body to dance

To the rhythm of the pastoral tide, things find thier natural mood

Each part in you finds its echo, in every part of the coutryside

A spiritual interaction evolves and revolves around your core

Every part in Nature's body communicates with each part in yours

The flesh finds its home, the spirit its roam, the poet, his flair

'Barley bread, home made, in the countryside, i find my bed'
