Roses For Eternity

In the blue-grey mist of twilight
When the breeze is but a whisper
When stars fill the velvet sky,
This is what I wish for...

To tiptoe to the edge of a moonbeam.
And peek into Heaven's door.
To have you here with me again
The way it was before.

They tell me I'm just a dreamer,
And a dreamer I will always be.
Why must I spend these endless nights
With just your memory.

All Alone here with the roses
In the gardens we planned long ago
The Grandiflora and Florabunda miss you
I just wanted you to know.

Someday when the gates of Heaven open,
And should there be a place there for me,
I'll meet you on the golden stair.
With all the roses you gave to me.
