Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Just Like Clockwork
Just like clockwork on this cool August morn
The bluebirds came to call.
They splashed awhile in the old stone bath
With great abandon, one and all.

For soon the deep woods will be all ablaze
Announcing the season of great vibrancy.
And I will stroll down familiar paths.
In search of gold , crimson and burgundy.

And now the blue sky is much bluer still
As the birds take flight and quickly soar.
Off to enjoy a much warmer existence.
To return in spring, a rebirth an encore.

And I will await their promised return
When Lady Springtime makes her debut.
When each season so perfectly planned
Returns to us, all polished and new.

Then like a recluse, warmed by hearth fires
When North winds grumble and blow.
I will reflect on the joys of each season.
And gather diamonds from new-fallen snow...
