The Autumn Woods

I love to stroll the autumn woods
To gather bright bouquets
To venture down wildwood paths
On the last sunny days.

To watch gold leaves swirl about
Dancing in the soft warm breeze.
How lovely to see summer birds
Play hopscotch in aspen trees.

The river sparkles and races by
To its destination far away.
And all of God's creatures
Venture out to play.

The woodland path comes alive
With rustling autumn sounds.
Today I'm here to enjoy it all,
Nature's beauty that abounds.
