The Darker Side Of Aging

Echoes of silence that one cannot hear
Stillness like darkness except without fear
Rambling of words silent not spoken
Within aging mind shouts come forth
Silence now broken

Repetitious mumbling about the same thing
Dressing for Winter when it is now Spring
Disliking to go much anywhere at all
Hesitant to walk lest one may fall

People annoy, aggression seems high
Each day we pray just to get by
