Sent To You

To know what was said you have to read between the lines he'd written.
Scarlet Carsons were romance to her given, proof that he was smitten.
Lingering music in the background settled as early morning fog.
When she awoke and read the poem he left, it was an epilogue.

I must deduce the difference between a wish and a prayer.
A wish I toss freely in the air, a prayer I hope God will care.
I wish for many things in life, I pray directly to God above.
I wish you all the best, but, more than that I wish you love.

So here now I am wishing that my prayers will come true.
That I'm that special true love which God has sent to you.
