Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A Tribute
Her passing crushing me
Eyes looking but seeing not
Lungs holding no air
Arms folding next to her
Paramedics pumping on her chest
Their eyes saying volumes
Sirens blaring and rolling on
Doctors frowning and saying it
She is no more.

Days passing fighting it
Machines working breathing for her
Switching them off a raging fire
Calling to her and hearing her not
The rising of the chest stopping
Everything in me shattering
She is no more.

Dedicated to the memory of my wife, who would have been sixty-one yesterday. She died of a coronary on September 26, 2014,ten days after her 56th birthday.
