Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Robin Red Breast
He winked his eye
You didn't see,
But oh it meant
The world to me.

His message then
Was very clear
Telling me
That Spring was here.

In his brand new suit
Brown tails red vest
With his Mrs. they settled in
To build a nest.

His efforts were fruitful.
Those babies moved on.
They filled up the woodland
With summer's song.

Today he's come around
To bid me farewell
Before the snow flies
And winter winds swell.

He rustled his feathers
And again winked his eye,
He was bidding me adieu
Not goodbye.

Off into the sunset
They quickly flew away.
We shall return, he chirped
On the first Spring day.

I'll weather the winter
By a hearth, cozy and warm
And wait for the Robin's
To return safely home.
