Gone To His Reward

A man who was filled with Sisu is what his memorial plaque does say
He was a man who didn't let anything deter him from his way
Long in determination, strong in his faith with the Lord
Always ready with a helping hand, giving even what he couldn't afford
His smile was always welcoming when he would greet you at the door
His hand shake or a big bear hug was what you had in store
If you had sorrows he had shoulders you could rest your cares upon
He would sit with you for hours till all your cares were gone
He was a carpenter by trade, oh how he loved to build
Employers used to seek him out, for he was very skilled
A mighty man of God they say has gone to his reward
Now he is doing what he wanted, building houses with the Lord

For my husband who passed, a wonderful man of God.
