In Him find Love, Hope, Peace
In trouble call His name
He'll respond Your call
Come in heart, live in you
When you call the Lord is there
When you call the Lord is there
He'll be your strength, your Rock
Be your guide, hold your hand
He'll never let you go
Just call His name any time.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

- HOW TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR -
A salvation prayer, known by many Christians as a 'Sinners Prayer,' is a prayer one would say to repent from sin, ask God for forgiveness, confess belief in Jesus Christ, and accept him as Lord and Savior. Saying a salvation prayer is the first step in your personal relationship with God.
If you believe the Bible offers truth about the way of salvation, but you have not taken the step to become a Christian, it's as simple as praying this prayer. You can pray by yourself, using your own words. There is no special formula. Just pray from your heart to God, and he will save you. If you feel lost and donít know what to pray, hereís a salvation prayer that you can follow:
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that donít please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me.
I believe that You died on the cross for me to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to You now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to You. From this day forward, help me to live every day for You and in a way that pleases You.
I love you, Lord, and I thank You that I will spend all eternity with You.
If you have just prayed this prayer, congratulations!
You have received Christ as your Savior and have made the best decision you will ever makeóone that will change your life forever!
Salvation is simple enough for a child to understand, but itís also so profound that we canít plumb its depths. One thing we can know for certain is that itís a work of God, whereby He regenerates a spiritually dead sinner into a new creation filled with the life of Christ.
Peter wrote his first letter to believers who needed encouragement because they were suffering persecution for their faith. He assured them, and us, with the following truths:
God has caused us to be born again to a living hope through Christís resurrection (1 Peter 1:3). If we set our hope on the things in this life, we will be disappointed because this is a fallen world, which groans with the effects of sin. As believers, however, we have new life and a living hope that transcends this world.
We have an imperishable inheritance reserved in heaven for us (1 Peter 1:4). Worldly investments and retirement plans can be decimated in a moment. But as heirs with Christ, we have a heavenly inheritance thatís being kept safe by God Himself.
We are protected by the power of God through faith for a future salvation (1 Peter 1:5). As Godís own children, we never have to fear the loss of our salvation, because our almighty Father keeps us in Christ. And we also have the guarantee of a future bodily resurrection when Jesus returns.
In trying or painful times, we need a hope that reaches beyond our circumstancesówhich is exactly what we have in Jesus Christ. From beginning to end, in life and death, we are held safely by God.
As a young writer I was often unsure of myself when I was in writing workshops. I would look around and see rooms filled with giants, if you willópeople with formal training or years of experience. I had neither. But what I did have was an ear formed by the language and tone and cadences of the King James Version of the Bible. It was very much my armor, so to speak, what I was used to, and allowing it to inform my writing style and voice has become a joy to me, and I hope to others.
We donít get the impression that David the young shepherd was unsure of himself when it came to wearing Saulís armor to fight Goliath (1 Samuel 17:38Ė39). He simply couldnít move around in it. David realized one manís armor can be another manís prisonó'I cannot go in these' (v. 39). So he trusted what he knew. God had prepared him for that moment with just what was needed (vv. 34Ė35). The sling and stones were what David was used to, his armor, and God used them to bring joy to the ranks of Israel that day.
Have you ever felt unsure of yourself, thinking If I just had what someone else has, then my life would be different? Consider the gifts or experiences God has given specifically to you. Trust your God-given armor.

Whatís an example of someone elseís armor thatís been a matter of comparison or even jealousy for you? How might your armor be just whatís needed for this day?
Sovereign God, at times itís easy to feel unsure of myself, especially in situations where challenges feel like giants. Help me to trust that Youíve given me just what I need. Youíve crafted my lifeís story.
We have the opportunity to offer heartfelt prayers for every person we see. The attendant at the grocery store. The nurse in the doctorís office. You donít have to tell them of your intercessory prayer.
When we seek to bless others through prayer, we are blessed. Studies draw causal links between prayer and faith and health and happiness. The act of praying for others has a boomerang effect. It allows us to shift the burden we carry for others to the shoulders of God. Donít grow angry at the churchís condition. Pray for her. Donít fret about the future of your family, pray for them. Assume the posture of prayer.
Is there a crisis in your world? Are you called to give hope where hope cannot be found? Is prayer all that you have? Thatís okay. Prayer is all you need. And this is how happiness happens.
