Get Rid Of The Advertisements

In To God's Grace

I watched him as he walked towards me
Holding his sign, head bowed low
Bulky clothes disguising his thin frame
His last meal was quite some time ago

What he needed was so much more
Then just a dollar here and there
He needed to know that his life mattered
Was there anyone who really cared?

I asked him if he would sit with me
Hoping we could chat for just a while
He looked up and his eyes met mine
Across his face crept a smile

As we sat he told me of his life
Some bad choices he had made
How he wished that he could turn back time
Some past temptation he would evade

I told him his past can be forgiven
How his future can be so bright
If he would only turn to Jesus
In his darkness he would have light

There he gave his heart to Jesus
With tears rolling down his face
His eyes became so much brighter
As he stepped in to God's grace

We prayed, we hugged, we laughed, we cried
The truth had set him free
He greatly touched my heart that day
In my prayers he will for ever be
