Get Rid Of The Advertisements

WHAT ELDERLY SINGLES WISH FOR

Dear Lord, Oh God!
I am so cold,
and so lonely,
tired, and restless.
If I could be but touched,
or held...
and my hands and ears warmed,
maybe a little,
...or perhaps just listened to,
just a bit... why,
my whole lively sustenance
distilled to thus,
would be more than satisfied.
Then, my approaching earthly end,
so abandoned,
would be as peaceful,
with these waning breaths,
as a spring country morning.
