CHRISTMAS KISS

It's Christmas time with all the holly,
Snowflakes fall and gently touch
The baby's head so innocent and pure.
As her rosy cheeks and sparkling eyes
Spot a Robin in the snow filled skies,
It rests upon a holly branch
And bounces up and down,
Shows off his fine voice to her
And then lands upon the ground.
Her smile at that moment
Filled me with happiness,
No other Christmas present could convey
A gift from God, she made me smile today.
The spirit of Christmas I saw in her eyes
Seemed to know of more than this,
As I bent down and gave her rosy cheek
A gentle loving Granddad Christmas kiss.
