Fun On Cat Island

Oh my, cats in the sun
You can't catch them
All they do is run
Maybe they are having fun

Running wild in the tall grass
Chasing butterflies they can't catch
Meows ringing when in the grasp
Oh my, they sure can scratch!

They love to chase mice
On a cat island owned by Japan
But they just won't play nice
Millions of felines, isn't it grand?

Oh my, cats in the night
Thousands of tiny voices
In the foggy moonlight
Can you imagine the noises?

Aoshima Island has small villages
People are very much outnumbered
They do fish to make a living
Lots and lots of fish are devoured

Oh my, cats in the morning
Crowd the warf's and the piers
Tourists come from miles around
To feed and see all the cat's here

Aoshima is a Japanese 'Cat Island'
