Consumption

Journey deeper
tunnel through my hard exterior
delve into murky water
drown in the unknown
twisted monstrosities
lurking in the shadows
waiting to pounce
unwelcome intruders
hang themselves
with their own words
their thoughts and fears
my reality
wallowing in their ignorance
unable to comprehend
my controlled environment
their shields defective
against my penetrating demeanour
choking them
devouring them
claiming their soul
trapping it within my own
there is no escape
there is no erasing,
what is written in blood
sealed with fate
I cannot be human
consumed and consuming
tripping and falling
further into myself
I fade
I trap myself within my shell
the vehicle for my soul
which long to be free
longs to “be”
