My Spirit Weeps

My spirit weeps
Unbearable agony
Is my companion
Seeing your pain
Hurts as though
An assassin's dagger
Has pierced my soul
How can I relate
The depths of sadness
Overwhelming my heart
If only I could
Wipe away forever
The tears that stain
Your beautiful face
Kiss each one tenderly
Till you again smile
For that's a vision
Worth more to me
Than my own life...
