Life is but an Illusion

Life is but an illusion,
Thin,
Fragile,
And forever changing.

Yesterday I was a millionaire,
But,
Today,
Nothing remains.

They speak of love,
Joy,
Wisdom,
But they are the most intangible of all.

In truth life is but a shadow,
Distant,
Faint,
And continuingly fading.

Through blindfolded eyes we live it,
Unaware,
Uncaring,
Not understanding its sheerness.

Life is but an illusion,
Flickering,
Pulsating,
And impossible to understand.
