Hole in my Center

The darkness parts creating a smooth slither of light
Reluctant as it pierces my dreams
I fall hopeless into the everpresent crease of my bed
Rain slices through the window spitting on my face
Sticking to my eyes, tear-like in structure
Rolling down my cheek it clears a path to the unending
Everything and nothing collide as bits and pieces fly
The shards tear at my skin like burrs
Entangled in my hair they seep
Slowly they find their way
Creeping ever closer to my center
Spiratically branching out with a hard outstretched hand
It seizes my heart
Wringing it, spinning it and tearing it out
