Missing Love

i take a short walk
the walk to i am not sure
i'll walk 'til my heart's content
maybe i'll go to someone i don't know
i reach my car & take my seat
reach down to pull out my keys
find them buried deep into the change
push them into the slot & turn
start the engine, heat the roar
move the gears back into drive
have the fun of travel & time
go down the road & enjoy the sights
i watch the dust from the gravel
it comes up behind my travel car
the rush of pleasure overwhelms me
it's a feeling i'm glad to have
i travel farther & enjoy it all
the travels, the grass, the marvelous clouds
the beauty at which nature brings
the love for all of it
my trust of the steel i'm in
the pain outside my hallow shell
the unconscious sweetness
the trustworthy soul of them
i watch the sights pass on by
each different in their own way
all i can do is sit in wonder
amazement from all the beauty possessed
every new sight brings up something new
each new thing brings the rise of new eyes
looking back on me with wonder
i get lost in all of the stares
i push my machine a little further
it continues on like something new
the pleasure of the shear travel
brings about a great contentment
i pass many friends i know so well
they wave, i pass, with no notice of them
do i not realize, do i not see
i'm not blinded by the beauty in nature
i travel further & love the ride
the enjoyment is satisfaction enough
i just love the fullfillment in each day
my travels really only focus on one thing
the only thing that i really want
the only thing that i long for
it is just this thing called 'LOVE'
i've found it a few times before
i thought that it would last
i can't wait for it to come back to me
it won't stay, it makes me cry
my drive brings me back to my start
my journey finally brought to an end
the pleasure in it too much to handle
i begin to pull the keys from the slot
climb out of the car & go back inside
sit down on my couch & begin to think
missing love is too much to bare
i lie down on the couch & take a nap
the confusion of it all tires me so...
