Into The Shadows
I have lived in deep shadows
for so long
never feeling the sun on
my face. I understand that
is my place.
When I first met you
I finally saw the light
you guided me out
into it.
I soon found myself
trapped under your spell.
With no way out!
I fell in love with you
even though I knew
I had no right too!
Even though I knew
deep inside how
it would end.
That my heart would
be broken,
But still I played
the part of the fool
let myself dream.
Turned a blind eye
to all the signs.
Never saw the raising
of the knife.
Thought I was safe
with you.
That you cared
for me.
Instead you have
only left me feeling
dead inside my heart
an emotionless
dead zone.
Broken and bleeding
from the wounds you
inflicted.
Back into the shadows
I drag myself,
screaming as I rip
the once gleaming
blade now blood red
from my chest.
Crawling ever deeper into
the shadows that
are my place.
