Childhood Love

Now that I am older
I have always thought it would be great
To have a childhood
Love to date.
I never thought it would come true
But then again I never knew
I would find again one summer, my love, you.
You were a great childhood friend
With always a helping hand to lend
Nothing could ever make it end.
Then all of a sudden you were gone
With every waking of a new dawn
I would forget you more but life would go on.
Older, our paths would sometimes cross
But the conversation was usually lost
So away we would toss.
Deep down below
All the memoires you did bestow
And I would never really know.
Of course until now
When I ask myself how?
The feelings, anymore, I can't hind
Although I have tried.
The coming of the hardest part
Is for me, sharing with you my heart.
For I don't know what to say
I hope it works, I really pray.
And I don't know what you reaction may be
Is it true you are also in love with me?
