Every road is blocked

I stand before three paths
Each one a beautiful walk
I must choose one
Or double back and find another way
The first path seems comfortable
An easy choice
But the path is barred
Only one can get through
It seems I'm not strong enough to pass
The second needs tending to
It would be an adventure
However, the trail goes only uphill
And only gets steeper
This trail gives too much work
So much that I won't enjoy the journey
The third path is perfect for me
A rugged, adventurous trail
Full of it's trudges and it's eases
A path most beautiful
But I would never feel right if I took it
For this path is not mine
It does not come off from my present course
But from one unseen
Yet it is so close
Would taking it be the correct thing to do?
And now I last look behind me
Should I travel back
Back through the pain and darkness
And find another path?

(What should I do?)
