Numb

Numb fingers
rubbing incessently at a blind spot
hoping to make it see

Numb ears
strain to hear
the long gone soft whisper

Numb lips
caressing with distaste
their counterparts

Numb mind
running into the wall
time and time again

Numb heart
weaving an impenetrable
web cocooning itself

Numb self misery
