Monsters starting with S
Skeletons with chattering teeth
Striking fear into your heart,
Shadows skulking on the walls
Stay close, prepare to fight.
Scum rising from the ponds
Standing by from down beneath,
So draw you sword while you can
Strike a pose or flee in fright.
Shooting fire, your flesh will seethe,
Shake and shiver all in fright,
Silver dragons their claws unsheathe,
Some slimy ooze from the roof falls.
Start the journey, to your quest bequeath,
Say a prayer, follow the path, for your adventure calls.

This form is a Bref Double.
The Bref Double is a French form that looks suspiciously like a
sonnet, but the rhyme scheme is completely different, and it
does not have to be written in Iambic Pentameter, it can be
written in hexameter, tetrameter, or whatever you prefer.
It is written as three quatrains and a couplet, and the rhyme
scheme looks like this: ( the 'x' lines denotes lines where no
rhyme is required)
a/x/b/c
x/a/x/c
a/x/a/b
a/b
