A Folk Tale

He came in search of white monkey
Such mystery he holds the key
In deep valleys he had to stay
To nobody he wouldn¡¯t say

He met the hermit of the hill
From whom the story he could fill
But folks were trembling with such fear
Of his mission they all did hear

For hundred days and nights he walked
To just himself alone he talked
The trees became so big and tall
He heard his name someone did call

He didn¡¯t move with eyes so wide
Suspicious that his ears just lied
Beneath the giant narra tree
He saw the monkey standing free

With careful steps he met the beast
Which touched his face, he moved the least
He felt his lips moist with a kiss
What happened next he couldn¡¯t miss

Behold he did with ecstasy
A sight that no man¡¯s eyes could see
The fabled monkey in that lair
Was his dear beloved maiden fair!
