While You Sleep
I gaze at you sleeping
Laying there so peacefully
Your chest rises and falls
Your breathing deep
A smile passes your lips
As your dreams carry on
I grin as you roll over
Gazing at your still closed eyes
As I watch you I think
Replaying time spent with you
Recalling days of the past
Memories bringing smiles
You stir again in your sleep
My presense you have felt
Your eyes slowly open, seeing me
I lean in and kiss you with a smile
I slip back under the covers beside you
The warmth of you welcoming me
I smile as I lay against you
How I do love watching you sleep
