sometimes i forget to tell you
just how much you mean to me
still you're the one i run to
when i'm so full of misery
you have never been too busy
to listen to my woes
so i wanted to write a poem
so my real feelings for you show
you are such a special friend
so kind and gentle as can be
i feel so very fortunate
that you've also found a friend in me
