CONFUSION

As I look into your eyes, I wonder.
Do you really see me as I am?
All mixed up feelings and thoughts I do ponder.
Shall I take this opportunity and give this love all that I can?

Do I take a chance on this lovely young man?
Or do I let my life slide by and turn my back while I can?
I could stay home, safe and secure.
Or, I can step outside and and take the lure.

Take care, dear heart! The difference is far too great.
Your worlds are too far apart.
Do I retreat or do we still meet?
Confusion surrounds meas you silently speak
the words I want to hear, but fear.

I think of you often, your strong manly arms
and how you have softened me with all of your charms.
I await your next kiss
which I know will be bliss.
