You

In
candle
light your face
outglows the flame
and shimmers softer than the moonlit night
and both of these would gladly have your name
acknowledging
that they’re the
lesser
light

Soft
music’s
melody
cannot compare
to the song of songs your soul emanates
and instrumental rhythm lacks the flair
and graceful way
your body
moves… then
waits

The
magic
of the night
can mesmerize
and leave me breathless; spellbound by its pow’r
But they are overshadowed as your eyes
of shining blue
draw me in
hour by
hour
